Nice Cream served with kiwis. raspberries and blackberries

With the rising temperatures of summer, it's nice to stay cool with an ice cold treat! We love nice cream because it's a healthier alternative to regular ice cream and is super easy to make. Most recipes are based off of two ingredients: frozen fruits and milk (or non-dairy milk) - plus there are no preservatives!

You can customize these frozen treats to your tastebuds by creating your own concoctions, or try one of our recipes below.

1. In a Sandwich

What's better than milk and cookies? Nice cream and cookies of course! Serve this sweet and salty treat in between two graham crackers (like pictured above) or you can use a cookie of your choice.

PRO TIP: If you want an extra crunch in your nice cream, mix in some cereal.

2. As Cool, Crunchy Bites

How cute are these bites? You can even turn them into pops by adding skewers or popsicle sticks.

  • Vegan ice cream of your choice
  • Granola
  • Berries, shredded coconut, flags (optional)
  1. Scoop balls of nice cream onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until firm.
  2. While the balls are freezing, add granola to a food processor and blend into smaller pieces.
  3. Remove balls from the freezer and roll into granola. Add any decorations such as beries, shredded coconut or flags.
  4. Place the balls back into the freezer until firm.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

PRO TIP: To reduce food waste, use the crumbles at the bottom of your granola or cereal bag to roll onto your nice cream bites!

3. As an Affogato

For a sophisticated touch, add some coffee to your ice cold treat! If you're craving for something cold and bursting with flavour, then you definitely want to try our Chai Nice Cream recipe! Make it extra indulgent by sprinkling it with some granola.

PRO TIP: Since the nice cream has no preservatives, it will freeze solid. To soften, take the nice cream out of the fridge 10 minutes before serving and allow it to thaw to a scoopable consistency!

4. Eat It On Its Own

Sometimes you have to enjoy vegan ice cream on its own in order to taste all of its flavours. We love the use of avocado to give the Vegan Cracked Mint Nice Cream its green colour. If you want to make this treat even more satisfying, add in a handful of Love Crunch® Dark Chocolate Macaroon for a decadent chocolate and coconuty flavour.

PRO TIP: Add a fresh sprig of mint for a fancy embellishment!
